Privacy policy

Renglón is a pocket notebook. What you write in it is yours and it stays on your phone.

In short

  • What you write never leaves your phone.
  • There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no cookies.
  • The app only connects to buy a plan and to check that you have one.
  • This site keeps no record of who visits it.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at hello@renglonapp.com.

The app

Everything lives on your phone, in the app's own local database: appointments, tasks, notes, expenses and habits. Writing needs no internet.

Appointment reminders are scheduled by your own phone for the time you chose. They do not go through any server.

The backup is a file you choose to seal and keep wherever you like. Renglón does not know where it goes and keeps no copy anywhere else.

The widgets (on iPhone) show a copy of your page that the phone itself keeps for the Home Screen. It never leaves the device.

System backups: if your phone's own backup is switched on (Google or iCloud), the system may include Renglón's data in it, under your account. Renglón has no access to those backups.

Purchases are paid for on the App Store or Google Play, which handle the payment under their own policies. To know whether you have a plan, Renglón uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States) as a data processor. RevenueCat receives a random identifier created by the app, your purchase history (which plan, when, in which store and at what price) and technical details of the phone (model, system and app version, store country). It never receives what you write, your name or your email. They are used so the app knows whether it can write, to restore your purchases and for sales statistics; the legal basis is the performance of the purchase contract. These data travel to the United States under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and are kept for as long as your plan needs them.

Deleting your data means uninstalling the app: what you wrote is gone from the phone. The record of your purchases is kept by Apple or Google, and by RevenueCat for as long as your plan needs it; if you'd like RevenueCat to delete it, write to us with the purchase receipt.

This site

No cookies, no analytics. renglonapp.com uses no cookies or anything like them, counts no visits and loads nothing from other companies: the lettering, the pictures and the code all come from its own domain.

Who serves it. The page lives on a Hetzner server in Germany and reaches you through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., United States), which delivers it from a server near you and shields it from attacks. To do so, both need to see your IP address and the technical details of the request (browser, page asked for). They act as data processors; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in the site working and staying safe. Cloudflare transfers data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

What we keep of your visit: nothing. Our server keeps no record of visits, and from Cloudflare we only see aggregate figures (how many requests, from which countries), never IP addresses.

The links to the stores (such as renglonapp.com/tiktok) take you to the App Store or Google Play with a tag saying which network you came from, so we know which one brings downloads. The tag says nothing about you.

If you write to us

Your email to hello@renglonapp.com passes through Cloudflare, which forwards it, and is kept in a Gmail account (Google). We use it only to reply, with your consent as the legal basis, and delete it once it is no longer needed or as soon as you ask.

Who is responsible and your rights

Controller: Joaquín García Cantero, hello@renglonapp.com.

Your rights: you can ask to see your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its use, take it with you or object to it being handled, by writing to hello@renglonapp.com. If you feel we haven't dealt with it properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

If anything changes, it will be changed here first, with the date.
